A little rant from a freindly Artist.

facebook/hopesmtohermon
Ok This rant is for those who have been coloring your hair darker or just to cover grey.
If you are the coloring the like the top picture, and wish to have the color of the lower photo.
Be patient with your Artist.  It may take a heavy foiling, or a number of sessions, or a very long appointment time.
This also, can be costly.  You are paying for the Artists expertise. And we are all different in our approaches to achieve your goals.
Whether you wish to be a light blonde or grey.
I tend to take things slow, why?
Less damage, and you can keep most of your length and more hair on you head.
But, if you Artist says she wont do it, well, respect that.
Also, being honest with the types of color that is on your hair will help, changes in medication will effect your hair color result.  HCL Drugs always pull a hard orange. Statins and Steroids just make a mess of the hair, it can cause breakage direness, brittle hair too. Thyroid medicine leaves the hair dry also.  So let your Artist know what medications you are on.
I would love to hear your comments and if you have questions I would love them too!
See you light later.

Empic

There are many different roads to take in life.  I suggest you take none.  Forge your own path.  Have your own experiences.   And dont fall for the all roads lead to Rome crap.  They don't, and the Romans had a habit of conquering.  In which I say.  "Conquer they self!"  Let no man dictate your destination in life.
What does this have to do with weight loss, esteem, or even improvement of ones life.  EVERYTHING! EVERYTHING! EVERYTHING!
Everyone that walks the earth, has a story.  Each is important.   Each one of us has been effected by one an other.   Our environment has effected us also, and we have effected it and others.  How our choices in life did in the past and present, even in the future is important and each one of us has the choice of doing so in a negative or positive way.
Lets, start  with the basics shall we.
We all have things that are common.   We want to feel secure, loved, needed.  There are many more you can add the the list.
Everyone of us has wounds.  Most come from our past. As we read this someone some where is developing them right now.  Somethings we can not change from our past, and want to forget.  Yet, we go back there. Either in subconscious mind or dwelling on it in our conscious.   That pesky,  wounded past, can disroy us and everything and everyone around us.  If we let it. I know from experience.  That is just it "If we let it!"  Some times we are not even a where of how messed up we are.  What is left, but, a lonely broken self abused worthless feeling individual.   And you cant see the light through the trees.  Doing the samething over and over again.  Using Food,  Alcohol,  Drugs, Physical, Verbal in abusive behavior. Or, allowing others to abuse you.  Not seeing these behaviors pushes others away.  Who in there right mind would run towards that right?
We even run  from our selves.  Using these modalities to mask and queit the past, the pain.  Trust me it doesnt work.  Seeking out professional help is great.  If you are really open and honest. There are a lot of great therapists out there and they can give you many different coping skills.  But, in the end they cannot heal you.  YOU and only YOU can do that.  Most people find it really hard to revisit this pain face to face let alone share it with a stranger.   The past pain is like the rawling ocean, strorming,  we will put our toe in it that is it.   And not jump in.  For fear of drowning.   So we self abuse.  Mask the feelings.  You pick your pioson.  Food, Achohol,  Physical,  Verbal, Emotional.   There are a number os ways to do it.
All are temporary.
So, how in the hell are we to evolve,  or survive through life.  People say deal with it.  Move on.  Dont look at the past,  don't drive in the rear veiw mirror. Yada Yada yada.
I say to quiet those demons, are to face them.  Listen to the voice in your head.  If it hurts, or makes you sad.  Feel it. Ask yourself why.
Facing those demons are not easy, why.  The ego does not want to change.  The egos job, is to protect.
So, I say every time, that nasty thought plays in your head, replace it.  With a loving thought.
Example:  "You will never amount to anything good."
"I already have."
"I'm a loving, person"
Replace it every time, it plays in your head. Say something nice about yourself.  Every time a negative thought about someone else plays in your head Say something nice about them.
Believe me it is not easy.  But, I know this works.  You will start to see the world through different eyes.
Try is for a week.
My rant is over...

Dont Make Me A FATTY FATTERTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes I want DESSERT and I don't want to get fat from eating it either.....!!!!!!!!!!!

And I'm hell bent on finding tasty treats that wont, destroy all the work in the gym.
I'm a hairdresser by trade, standing in one spot most of the day.  And as everyone, these days
we all work long hours.  We are running kids here, and there, picking up cleaning, laundry, and working.  Most of us don't eat proper, if we even remember at all.  Let alone healthy.

This is why we have packaged food. lol For convenience, to make things faster save time.  Oh boy if you believe that well, I have a bridge for sale you can buy.   We are just fattening the pockets of manufactures, and that's just what they do MANUFACTURE food products.  NOT FOOD.

Well, a few years ago, I decided that had to end.  A good friend of mine thought it would be a good idea to join a weight training class.  We were told it could help with weight loss, muscle density, and bone health, also teach us to eat better.  And we would look great for the summer.  At first, I thought she lost her mind.  Simply went off the deep end.  Her name was Nola, you know the name New Orleans, there is a little crazy in its self.

We did just that went to train and learn everything we could.  And our trainer I think had alternative motives maybe from the beginning.  Nola and I stepped on stage a few months later, leaner, and each with our own fat loss story to carry with us for ever.  And Im forever greatful  to a man named Mike.

The things our trainer did not tell us was, that there were a few side effects to training. That not only were we being healed on the outside, but also a few other things came with weight training.
1.  I met incredible people.  Each and everyone of us that joined for that session, became teammates,
family.   Not only did we workout together, we shared in each others lives. Held each other accountable, push each other when we thought we could not go on.  We were a family.
2.  We learned that being un fit was a choice that and the power is in all of us to change.  If you have the courage to be consistent. And get up off the sofa.
3.  That Cardio is just the Cardio (heart) for the health of the heart.  And you cant out run an bad diet.  Lord knows I've tried.
4.  Also, a sense of self worth.  I began to pay attention to this more and more.  As the weeks went by.  I noticed somethings.  About people.
5.  Your mood effects others.  What you say can break someone, or help them shoot for the stars.
Pretty cool Yah I know

So, Im not a fatty any more.  And I eat desserts and sertain decactant treats once a week.  I find if eaten daily the application is not the same.  You just gobble it down like pezz. And dont even appreciate them.
I savor each bite.  And have adapted  alternative recipes using  fresh rather than packaged .  It tastes better and my body knows what to do with it.
My advice to you, get off the sofa.  Move . Find a friend  and move if youhave legs, use them.  Clean out that refrigerato, if you can not read it dont eat it.  Start here, and I promise 1 thing you will feel better.
Lol Hope this helps you.

Lets Get CoCo For Coconuts!!!

I love Coconut, shredded, flour, chunked, chocolate coated, uncoated, cooked, raw.
You sit it in front of me Ill eat it.
But, did you know that there are a ton of different uses for this food source other than consumption.

I have started using coconut oil in my skin care.

Once a week it is used as a cleanser, or a exfoliate. And I have oily skin.  Yes, an oil to remove oil and makeup.  It really works.

This is the recipe for my skin cleanser:

1.  A tablespoon Coconut Oil
2.  A teaspoon Castor Oil
Mix together, and massage onto face. Then take a hot steamy towel and rest it over you skin and remove the Coconut mixture.  Do this at least 3 times.  Wait a few minutes, and use a pea size of Coconut Oil dab it under your eye area and in your dry areas as a moisturizer.

Oil Pulling
What?  You don't know what that is....Well, it is away of detoxing metal, and other toxins from your body.  It also, helps with gingivitis.

1 Tablespoon of Coconut Oil and pop it in your mouth, swish it around for 20 minutes.  Then spit in a baggy.... You do not want to put that down your sink.  I had to work up to 20 minutes of swishing.  Then floss and brush.

If you have other ideas on how we can incorporate Coconut into my life comment below.  Thank you for reading.....
